Locos Start Season 2 with Championship Rematch – Twice

The Las Vegas Locos blasted through the Premiere Season of the United Football League like a runaway freight train on their way to being crowned the champions. Last week, the UFL announced the 2010 schedule, and in doing so, laid the tracks for the route the Locos will have to take this year if they want to hoist the William Hambrecht Trophy.

It’s a tough schedule for the Locos that begins with a championship rematch versus the Florida Tuskers on Friday, September 17th at Sam Boyd Stadium. There is no doubt the Tuskers will be excited for this rematch, since their loss in the championship was the only loss they experienced the entire year, making it through the regular season undefeated. Thankfully the Locos will have a bye after what will surely be a hard fought game, but the rest will not last long, as the Locos turnaround to play the Tuskers in Florida the following week.

While it might seem unlucky to play the league’s only undefeated regular season team twice in three weeks it might prove to be quite fortunate. This schedule allows the Locos to begin the season versus tough competition, preparing them for this year’s longer season. Hopefully, these three weeks leave the Locos battle-tested and not battle-worn.

Here is a complete listing of the 2010 Locos schedule:

Week 1: Friday, September 17th vs. Florida Tuskers

Week 2: Bye

Week 3: Thursday, September 30th at Florida Tuskers

Week 4: Friday, Oct 8th vs. UFL Omaha

Week 5: Friday, Oct 15th at Sacramento Mountain Lions

Week 6: Saturday, Oct 23rd vs. Hartford Colonials

Week 7: Thursday, October 28th at UFL Omaha

Week 8: Saturday, November 6th vs. Sacramento Mountain Lions

Week 9: Bye

Week 10: Saturday, November 20th at Hartford Colonials
