2 More Chances to Join the Las Vegas Locos

The Las Vegas Locos are giving athletes the opportunity to demonstrate their talents and earn a roster spot this fall with the United Football League’s defending champions. The Locos will have two tryouts in May to give the organization a look at some of the many tremendous college and professional players that have been previously overlooked.

The next tryout will be held in Norwalk, CA on Sunday, May 9. The following weekend the Locos will have a tryout in their own backyard, as they host UFL hopefuls on Saturday, May 15 in Las Vegas on the campus of UNLV.

If the tryout in Arizona is any indication of the quantity and quality of talent that will be on hand for the May tryouts, the Locos might have a glutton of solid players to sift through and add to their championship roster. Head Coach, Jim Fassel was seemingly impressed at the turnout for April’s tryout, given his comments that day. Fassel was quoted by Michael Samtur of UFL News praising the Arizona audition, saying that, “A lot of them can play, they just need an opportunity.” “The most encouraging thing was players kept coming up to me and telling me it was the best tryout camp they have ever been to. These things are usually a cattle-call, but they felt like they all got a fair look,” said Fassel. Fans and Locos alike can only hope that the May tryouts are even better.
