On a day when many Americans were rushing to pay the Internal Revenue Service the Las Vegas Locos of the UFL were proudly announcing the names of 20 players they would like to pay a taxable income to, when the United Football League resumes this fall.
On Thursday, April 15 the Locos announced their list of players they will have exclusive rights to, assuming the players do not receive more attractive contract offers with NFL teams. Some of the more notable players retained by the UFL champion Locos are RB Marcel Shipp, QB Tim Rattay, and LB Teddy Lehman, who led the league in tackles with 34.5 tackles.
To fill out the roster the Locos will be holding a series of tryouts. The most recent tryout happened this last weekend on Saturday, April 17 in Phoenix. The next tryouts will be held Saturday, May 9 and Saturday, May 15. For more information about tryouts for the Las Vegas Locos, please visit http://www.ufl-football.com/news/locomotives-open-tryouts.
